Odet has recently been in a position to assist some students from the north of Kanchanaburi Province.
They are: Kanokgaet 22, Katmanee 21, Tao 21, and Khai,21.
The Karen and Mon are a minority groups in Thailand and often don't qualify for Thai citizenship. This has a serious impact on their ability to gain higher education.

There are many children in my village who have no education and they don’t have opportunity to study in school because their family are poor and they don’t have enough money to send their children .As my self, I work in part time and study. I came from poor family so I have to try hard for my study. One day I have a dream that I can help and teach people in my village and those people who need help for their study.

Hi and welcome everyone. The new school year has begun once again in Thailand and Odet is very pleased to be able to continue assisting a number of caregivers in sending their children to school.
Education is key to breaking the poverty cycle. Odet is currently supporting 10 children at primary and high school. Your fantastic support has made a big difference in the lives of these children.

Hello again everyone. April is here and another Thai school year has come to a close. It's the hottest month with bright sunshine, occasional thunderstorms and temps over 40 deg. nearly everyday. This week will be the 'songkrahn' New Year festival, which should help things cool down with water galore.

Odet has continued to support the students (currently 12 children) with financial assistance for books, uniforms, lunches etc. which is given to the caregivers each month in most cases, and occasional homework assistance for those who need it.  Once again all of the students that Odet has supported have passed all of their subjects. A great success. Thanks to everyone who has supported Odet over the years. Even a small amount can make a huge difference. The local communities, families and the students have really appreciated your care and support.
