Covid has had a serious impact on daily life in Thailand with most schools having to revert to online teaching. Thailand has been scrambling to adjust to an online schooling programme that has largely disrupted students' education. It is estimated that in remote areas over 50 per cent of students don't have computers, internet access, smartphones or, in many cases, electricity to adapt to online learning.
