and goes to pre-school in Nakon Pathom.

Parichat is now in her final year at Rajabhat University and hopes to graduate soon with a business degree.

Hello and Welcome.

The term break has just started for many of the students supported by Odet. Movement for lots of people across Thailand has been hampered by heavy rain and fooding.
Odet currently supports 20 students in Kanchanaburi and nearby provinces. 


Tee Lek with his mother at home, a slightly leaky roadside restaurant in Kanchanaburi. He has just completed his first term at technical college where he is studying to be a mechanic.  



Pichamon and Maprang are presented with their monthly assistence money by a border guard in Pilok District near the Burmese border. 


Much of Thailand has been inundated with heavy rain and floods over recent months. Kanchanaburi has been spared the worst of it  A number of students supported by Odet in other regions have been affected.

As of today flooding has redcently affected 19 provinces across Thailand

Inability to attend school due to poverty remains a huge problem for a million children in Thailand.

Opposition MP urges government to shore up education funding to reduce dropout rates.

Move Forward MP Paramee Waichongcharoen, a former teacher, says an estimated 1 million children have either dropped out of school or chosen not to attend a higher level of education due to poverty.

 The Summer break has arrived in Thailand and there are record  temperatures accross the country.

Kanchanaburi is experiencing what looks like being a long heatwave with regular highs of 40C.

Odet is now supporting 20 children across the state and is committed to helping them complete their education as far as possible.
